It is midnight. The moment of truth. The moment he and she have chosen to settle their scores. If this settling of scores is explosive for the couple, it is uncontrollably funny for the spectator.
Philippe Claudel, in his first play, paints an exhilarating scene of our society and reviews all of our excesses: from children's education to the contempt towards mothers in law, from hypochondria in men to women undergoing aesthetic surgery, from fake intellectuals to political hypocrisy, from sexual freedom to bad eating habits. A contemporary comedy.
Parle-moi d’amour is Philippe Claudel's first play. It will be performed from October 3 to December 31 2008 at the Comédie des Champs-Elysées Theatre in Paris with, in the main parts, Michel Leeb and Caroline Silhol.

Philippe Claudel is the author of Les âmes grises, which was awarded the Prix Renaudot in 2003 and which is translated into thirty languages, and of La petite fille de Monsieur Linh (Stock, 2005). His novel Le rapport de Brodeck was awarded the Prix Goncourt des lycéens in 2007. Illustrated with shooting stills, Petite fabrique des rêves et des réalités (Stock, 2008) includes the script of Philippe Claudel’s first film, Il y a longtemps que je t’aime, out in cinemas in France on March 19 2008, starring Kristin Scott Thomas and Elsa Zylberstein.
