What do you do in this situation? Who do you think of? Rémi Pelletier leaves his wife and children on holiday, to spend the month of August alone in Paris. He is delighted at the prospect, at last he can watch football on television in peace. But who is going to sew back on the three buttons he has just lost? He wouldn’t want to look at mess at the office on Monday morning on the grounds that his wife is away. There is the neighbour of course, Olga, a friend of his wife’s, with a head like a bird’s, a voice like a bird’s. But you really can’t ask a virtual stranger to sew buttons on without some minimum civility, can you?
