Where does inspiration come from ? Where does literary inspiration come from? If inspiration comes from a no man’s land, from a country, from an imaginary land, then inspiration is everybody’s possession…
The notion of secret has no meaning, because even if the secret is disclosed, the meaning is still obscure…
Christine Angot, having recently published her novel Les Désaxés, talks about writing, about inspiration and about secrets. Eighty-six pages to understand what it means, to totally and unconditionally dedicate oneself to literature.
Christine Angot was born in 1959. She has written about a dozen of books (novels, short stories, theatre plays) like for example Sujet Angot (1998), L’inceste (1999), Quitter la ville (2000) or Pourquoi le Brésil ? (2002).
Her last book, Les Désaxés, has been a literary event in 2004.
